Synchronicity
Think of all the events that had to take place
For us to stand here and meet face to face
Change one single moment no matter how small
And chances are we don’t meet at all
Last night we lay sleeping and didn’t have a notion
Of the change of events already in motion
A lifetime of choices led to this time
And tied together your world and mine
Chorus:
It’s the changes that pass without our detection
That cause all the pieces to fit to perfection
It’s amazingly simple in its complexity
It’s the dance of life synchronicity
That wreck that just happen one car behind
To the guy who let you cut into line
That one act of kindness brings him so close to death
And it all falls in place in one single breath
That moment he took to say goodbye to his wife
Changed the course of his morning and maybe his life
Or maybe it saved him from death down the road
It’s a mystery that we’ll never know
Chorus
Try to imagine what tomorrow will bring
The time you take thinking about it could change everything
What a wonderful game we’ve all learned to play
If I could change it I’d leave it this way
Chorus
