When I recorded my first album here in Houston, I didn't have a clue where to go or how to begin. I had some songs that I liked and a few bucks in my pocket. By the end of my first studio experience,  I had lot less money in my pocket and a project that fell short of my expectations. By good fortune, I met two great engineers, Haniel Trisna and David Truran, who not only salvaged my project but also educated me on the finer points creating a good album. With my new found friends and knowledge, I produced Alberta Skies which was nominated  for an MTM music award for producer of the year.

Over the last year Saylor White and I have become good friends. Saylor is an amazing and prolific songwriter with a musical sense that comes as natural to him as breathing. We both have a strong desire to help others. One fall day the idea was introduced to create  a studio that caters to the singer songwriter. So was born Houston's newest studio. The last wall was installed on January 9th, 2004. The Studio was built using industry standard engineering techniques. We chose the most recent version of Pro tools, highly rated Apogee and Origin pre amps and digital converters, and Renaissance effects. We use a Dual Processor Apple G5 computer with the 64 bit processing and software designed just for the music industry. We have a wide variety of microphones and 32 tracks of recording capability. Because we designed this studio with the singer songwriter in mind, we don't need a lot of the extensive and redundant equipment that larger studios need.  What this means for our clients is that we can keep our prices extremely affordable. We offer a range of services from simple tracking to producing and arranging all the way to finished album projects.

We are call our studio "A Songwriter Studio".  If you are considering a studio, take the time to check us out. We will soon have a website for you to get more information.  Check my website to contact me or www.saylorwhite.com for more information.  If  you would like to speak to me in person, please call 281-236-4355.
